Duration: 12 months, extensions likely

Location: Warwick or London/Hybrid (as and when required in the office)

Salary: £750-£800 per day via Umbrella

Our client, a leading company in the utilities industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Change Management Director to join their team. As a senior change leader, you will play a vital role in driving large-scale transformation initiatives and shaping the future of the organisation. What you'll do:

  • Lead and oversee the business change management and readiness programmes, ensuring seamless transitions across the People Digital Transformation Programme and BAU activities.
  • Develop and deliver a comprehensive change proposition for the People Function, defining the vision and case for change.
  • Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for digital and technology-led change.
  • Coach, mentor, and manage the change team members, fostering a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Shape and deliver internal communications, engagement, and stakeholder mapping plans to ensure clear visibility of the changes and desired outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships across internal networks, collaborating with Business Partnering teams to support effective business readiness.
  • Conduct interviews, workshops, and analysis to understand current state and operational impacts, guiding the development of future-state solutions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to address knowledge gaps, operational impacts, and readiness for adoption.
  • Design and create change impact assessments, personas, and user experience mapping to enhance the change journey.
  • Coordinate business change activities, providing clarity on ways of working and driving adoption among People Function colleagues.
  • Drive change governance forums and a change champion/network community to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
  • Support the development and delivery of education and training programmes for stakeholders impacted by the transformation.
  • Collaborate with Process and Product Owners to align educational collateral with technology design and outcome objectives.
  • Continuously measure and improve change management effectiveness, assessing user adoption and organisational benefits.


What we're looking for:

  • An inspiring and inclusive people leader who can role model and embed change within the team and across the organisation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, or a relevant subject, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading change workstreams in large-scale, multiyear HR transformation programmes.
  • Detailed knowledge of shared services and centres of excellence operating environment.
  • Strong ability to lead, engage, and coach diverse teams across geographical boundaries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex ideas and facilitating constructive conversations.
  • A track record of successfully enabling change at scale, utilising various delivery frameworks.
  • Expertise in consulting, guiding, and providing assurance in complex and ambiguous environments.
  • Strong human-centred change management skills, driving cultural and behavioural shifts.
