Job Opportunity: Gas Turbine Stress Analysis Engineer

Job Description: Tiro Partners are seeking a highly skilled Gas Turbine Stress Analysis Engineer to join our cleints engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in gas turbine stress analysis, particularly with rotating components like discs, blisks, shafts, seals, and airfoils. The role involves using advanced modelling techniques to analyze and ensure the safety and reliability of our products.

Responsibilities:

• Perform stress analysis on gas turbine components, ensuring they meet all technical and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including stress analysis, life management, heat transfer, materials, and design.
• Engage with global engineering organizations and internal teams to support assigned components.
• Deliver technical and program presentations to internal and external stakeholders as required.
• Document design engineering activities through Design Study Summaries, Technical Memorandums, Coordination Memos, and Certification Reports.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (mechanical, aerospace/aeronautical, manufacturing, or similar).

Capability Requirements:

• Extensive experience in gas turbine stress analysis with expertise in 2D and 3D stress analysis of rotating parts.
• Proficiency in ANSYS Mechanical APDL, Hypermesh, and UG NX.
• Experience with life analysis (fatigue, damage tolerance, and fracture mechanics) is preferred.
• Strong technical writing skills and the ability to generate detailed engineering reports.

Computer Skills:

• Proficiency in PC-based Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of ANSYS Classic, Hypermesh, UG NX, and PLM Teamcenter.
