Project Engineer

Rate: Dependent on Experience

Location: York

Position: 6 Month Contract

Our client, who is a large Rail company, is looking for a Project Engineer to manage design and construction activities for allocated projects. They will implement systems and procedures to maintain a cost effective, high quality, safe and environmentally responsible approach to design, construction, commissioning and other technical activities on relevant projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors.
• Provide project management advice in respect of all construction activities.
• Manage all engineering activities so that the schemes meet programme managements.
• Maintain the use of relevant techniques and procedures.

Requirements:

• Successful relevant experienced in engineering disciplines, ideally with construction.
• Technical qualifications to HNC/HND or equivalent GNVQ in relevant engineering discipline.
• Demonstratable experience of effective team working.
• CDM, risk assessment, engineering management competency.
