Rates: £400.00 - £500.00 per day (Limited Co.)

We are working with a key client who are a heavy material, process handling & capital equipment engineering and installation company, based out of Yorkshire. We are recruiting for and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer, on a key customer site in London for a minimum of a 5-month contract, on a major process site upgrade.

The Lead Mechanical Engineer will be responsible day to day for the following:

• Overseeing all mechanical and pipework aspects, documentation, and certification for work packages
• Overseeing mechanical and pipework contractors to ensure specification is met
• Technically overseeing a major gearbox and shaft alignment – weighs 10 tonnes
• Conveying and process materials handling / pipework / silos / pressure equipment etc
• Ensuring project deliverables are being met
• Reporting snags to Construction Manager & Site Manager
• Checking documentation and certs
• Keeping track of installs and especially on shutdown to ensure spec and timescales are achieved
• Complete mechanical technical support, to teams and subcontractors

The successful Lead Mechanical Engineer will have the following attributes:

• Experience on £multi-million project installs
• Minimum HNC Mechanical Engineering
• Site safety passport – CCNSG / CSCS
• First Aid (beneficial)
• IPAF (beneficial)
• Prepared to do 7 days a week in shutdown period – June / July
