Job Summary:

·         The Project Manager is responsible for managing and delivering complex and multiple projects simultaneously across Children’s and Adults Systems. This includes planning, mobilisation, implementation, transition to live and management of project resources. The post holder will manage a range of projects supporting the division.

·         The post holder will ensure that projects are delivered within financial, quality and scope constraints and they are also responsible for project reporting and the production of all project-related artefacts.

·         They will support complex, systems and organisational redesign projects and lead on and contribute to multi-disciplinary and multiple project teams to deliver organisational and cultural change across the Division.

·         The post holder reports to the Business Transformation Manager or Technology Transformation Lead and will work closely with all areas of the organisation including corporate ICT and Digital Transformation Teams.

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

·         Responsible for planning, managing, co-ordinating and reporting on activities to implement one or more projects from proposal to initiation to delivery including the transition into “business-as-usual”.

·         Ensuring that projects are managed to realise business benefits.

·         Managing the IT element of business wide projects.

·         Managing project budgets in accordance with the Council’s financial procedures and standing orders.

·         Ensuring that projects are delivered to scope, within budget and to agreed timeframes, prioritising the work that needs to be done against the capacity and capability.

·         Managing dependencies across their projects.

·         Reporting regularly on project status, risks, issues and expenditure Developing and coordinating the creation and definition of the portfolio, programme and project management processes, procedures, tools, reporting and techniques.

·         Working with multidisciplinary teams of stakeholders from a variety of business areas.

·         Working with project sponsors to ensure they are informed around project progress, risks and issues.

Essential Experience Required:

·         Experience facing local government, particularly in relation to service redesign, savings and service delivery is essential.

·         Experience in managing multiple IT projects within a large organisation is essential.

Essential Qualification Required:

·         The candidate should be Literate and numerate with Good general education.

·         Working hours: 36.50 hours per week.
