The position entails manufacturing harnesses, assembling control module LEDs, and installing finished products into units while ensuring adherence to specified standards. Some units may pose challenges due to limited space, necessitating work from step ladders or platforms.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
  • Attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Harness manufacturing experience, including selecting appropriate cable gauges, utilising the Raychem ident system, and cutting cables to specified lengths using metric and imperial measurements. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required.
  • Performing tasks such as stripping cables, using hydraulic and hand crimp tools, assembling connectors, and utilising solder sleeves/splices and heat guns (both standard and infra-red).
  • Fostering a "right first time" mindset and ensuring high-quality soldering.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work independently on assigned projects.
  • Installing completed electrical items into units, using hand tools to install fixed provisions, and making remaining connectors in accordance with specifications outlined in the drawings.
  • Working within confined areas when necessary.
  • Managing paperwork and documents in accordance with company procedures.
  • Providing own tools, with specialised tooling provided by the company.
