SRG are looking a for a dispensary technician to work for a global agrochemical company based at Jealotts Hill, Bracknell. As a dispensary technician, you would be responsible for dispensing reagents and other supplements to support world leading research and development programmes at the company. As you get more comfortable in the role, you'll be responsible for some formulation and sample preparation for various reagents, as well as becoming more involved with the company in general.

This role would be perfect for a graduate in any scientific discipline with an interest in supporting important research and development programmes or getting experience in laboratory work with an industry leading company. Experience in pharmacy dispensing would also be relevant for this role.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • To support day-to-day research dispensary operations in the provision of high quality, accurately dispensed chemical, and biological materials for biological and biochemical assays.

  • Assure adherence with health and safety protocols.

  • Accurate weighing of chemicals and the use of liquid handling robots.

  • To support the receipt and management of new incoming research samples, and chemical reagents from internal and external sources.

  • The dispensing of dry chemical samples and the solubilization and reformatting of samples into micro titre plate format supplied to scientists for testing on company biological test platforms.

  • Interaction with scientists over sample supply requirements and test scheduling.

Candidate Requirements:

  • An appetite for learning and problem solving, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team are critical.
  • Attention to detail is essential, as is a concern for high standards, and good written and verbal communication skills.
  • A good standard of IT literacy is required to utilize software systems, database querying and reporting tools, and the effective use of lab LIMS systems.
  • Experience in liquid handling automation systems would be highly beneficial but is not essential.
  • A Levels or a degree in life science (preferably Chemistry or Biology) and/or experience of working in a relevant environment and industry.
