Role: Supporting the Kitchen Manager in Providing Nutritious Meals for Students
We believe that healthy, delicious meals play a vital role in supporting student well-being and academic success. We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our kitchen team and assist the Kitchen Manager in delivering high-quality meals to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Kitchen Manager in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, including meal preparation, cooking, and service.
- Collaborating with the Kitchen Manager to plan and develop nutritious menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of students.
- Supervising kitchen staff and providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to food safety standards.
- Maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Supporting the Kitchen Manager in training and development of kitchen staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably in a school or catering setting.
- Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking nutritious meals from scratch using fresh ingredients.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
