If so, then this ASD Support Assistant position is perfect for you! The position is based in a fantastic Primary School in Barnet that prides themselves on making learning accessible to all their pupils.

As an ASD Support Assistant, you will be supporting an ASD pupil in KS2 with their day-to-day learning. Delivering a tailored curriculum to them within the classroom, helping them progress both academically and socially. There may be times when you are also required to assist the wider class, assisting the Teacher in delivering the diverse curriculum.

This role is perfect for anyone who is looking to gain valuable first-hand experience with both teachers and pupils before progressing onto future career prospects (Educational Therapist, Psychologist, Counsellor, Youth Support Worker etc).

1:1 ASD Support Assistant: ROLE SPEC

  • ASD Support Assistant
  • Supporting a child 1:1 in KS2 with high ASD needs
  • Can involve supporting the wider class in the afternoon
  • Leading learning sessions to support the pupil in their English, Maths and Phonics skills
  • Providing general classroom support to assist the Teacher
  • ASAP Start - Full-time position - Term time only
  • £105 - £110 per day
