Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Band 3 Pharmacy Assistant to join an NHS Hospital in the Swansea area. They are looking for people who can work full time, with some shifts covering out of hours/weekends/bank holidays. This is on an initial 3 month contract, with the view of extension.
Key Duties:
- Manning the pharmacy reception
- Assembly and dispensing of items against prescriptions and ward diaries
- Providing a pharmacy ward top-up service to the allocated ward
- Receiving stock from suppliers within the pharmacy store
- Assisting in the delivery and collection of pharmacy items to and from wards and departments
- To participate in rotas for bank holiday, weekend and extended hours working
- Complying with all relevant legislation, codes of practice, health board policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous pharmacy experience (training/short course/work experience accepted)
- Knowledge of procedures for pharmacy area
- Experience to Vocational Level 3
