Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Needs Primary Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students with special needs, fostering their development academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEN, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.

  • Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to learn.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

  • Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies as necessary to ensure all students are making meaningful progress.

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to develop confidence, self-esteem, and independence.

  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, behavior, and achievement in accordance with school policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching children with special educational needs (SEN), preferably in a primary school setting.

  • Strong understanding of different learning styles and strategies for supporting students with a range of special needs, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficulties.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with SEN, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve success.
