Shift Pattern: Day Shift - 07.30 to 16.30 Monday to Thursday, and 07.30 to 12.30 on Fridays, with designated breaks

Opportunity Summary:

We currently have a vacancy within our Engineering Department for an Engineering Technician on a Fixed Term basis for 6 Months. We are looking for a candidate who has relevant and proven experience, seeking an opportunity to join a growing Organisation and develop their skills.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Update Methods of Manufacture (Routings) to a defined standard
  • Implementing supporting documentation required from the operations team to ensure all information is provided to perform the process to an acceptable standard.
  • SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures), SWI’s (Special Work Instructions), Data cards, etc.
  • Excellent understanding and competence in Microsoft office. Excel, Word, Publisher and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated/experience using one, or several ERP systems, and a proven history of data input.
  • General understanding of multiple manufacturing processes. Welding, pressing, EDM, Flat Bed Laser, 5-Axis Laser.
  • Preferable – Experience in a planning role within a manufacturing industry.

General Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) requirements.
  • Ensure that work areas are tidy, cleaned and maintained in accordance with 5S requirements.
  • Engage and contribute to Continuous Improvement activities to maximise efficiency.
  • Comply with all company procedures and policies.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience of working to Aerospace standards (desirable not essential)
  • Preferably 2-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Has a keen eye for detail
  • Demonstrates good teamwork, but should also be capable of working individually
  • Is self-driven with a positive outlook
  • Has good communication skills
