Job Summary: Swanstaff are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Class 2 Driver to join our team in Codford. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of agricultural products and equipment using Class 2 vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operate Class 2 vehicles, including trucks and lorries, to transport agricultural products, equipment, and supplies to various locations.
  2. Plan delivery routes and schedules to optimize efficiency and meet customer delivery deadlines.
  3. Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transportation.
  4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
  5. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, while driving and operating the vehicle.
  6. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery notes.
  7. Provide excellent customer service, including courteous and professional interaction with customers during deliveries.
  8. Assist with other duties as needed, including warehouse tasks and inventory management, when not driving.

Qualifications:

  1. Valid Class 2 (Category C) driver's license with a clean driving record.
  2. Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) qualification.
  3. Previous experience as a Class 2 driver, preferably in an agricultural or similar industry.
  4. Familiarity with local roads and routes in the Codford area.
  5. Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading the vehicle.
  6. Excellent time management and organizational skills to plan and execute delivery routes effectively.
  7. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday
  • Regular working hours with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed
