Job Title: Van Driver

Location: Codford, Wiltshire

Job Summary: Swanstaff are seeking a reliable and responsible Van Driver to join our client in Codford. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting agricultural products and equipment to various locations in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate company vans to deliver agricultural products and equipment to customers, farms, and other designated locations.
2. Load and unload products and equipment from the van, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transportation.
3. Plan delivery routes and schedules to optimise efficiency and meet customer delivery deadlines.
4. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the van to ensure it is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
5. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, while driving and operating the van.
6. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts, invoices, and delivery notes.
7. Provide excellent customer service, including courteous and professional interaction with customers during deliveries.
8. Assist with other duties as needed, including warehouse tasks and inventory management, when not driving.

Qualifications:

1. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
2. Previous experience as a van driver or delivery driver preferred.
3. Familiarity with local roads and routes in the Codford area.
4. Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physical tasks related to loading and unloading the van.
5. Excellent time management and organizational skills to plan and execute delivery routes effectively.
6. Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
8. Basic knowledge of agricultural products and equipment is an asset but not required.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position, Monday to Friday
• Regular working hours with occasional overtime and weekend work as needed
