Description:

My client, a reputable school nestled in the vibrant community of Finchley, Enfield, is seeking a dedicated SEN TA with expertise in Autism to join their dynamic team. Finchley is renowned for its leafy suburban charm, bustling local markets, and excellent transport links, making it an ideal location for both work and leisure.

As an SEN TA specializing in Autism, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with diverse needs, ensuring they receive the individualized attention and assistance necessary for their academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students with autism spectrum disorders, both in classroom settings and during one-on-one sessions.
• Collaborate closely with teachers and other support staff to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavioural strategies.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported in their learning journey.
• Assist with classroom activities, including lesson preparation, resource organization, and student engagement.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorders preferred.
• Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (SEN) support.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, colleagues, and parents.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the diverse needs of students with SEN.
