Location: South East London

Contract: Part Time

Hours: 10:30 - 15:00

Start: ASAP

Rate: £95-105(PAYE) per day

Remedy is seeking two dedicated and compassionate candidate who is willing to shape the future of young pupils. We require a Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Teaching Assistant to a pupil within a primary school.

You will collaborate with the classroom teacher and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for the student.

The ideal candidate:

  • Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
  • Assisting with the supervision of children out of lesson times, such as playtime and lunchtime duty.
  • Establishing good relationships with children, acting as a role model.
  • Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all children, supporting difference and ensuring that all have equal access to opportunities to learn and develop.
  • Supporting the child with their learning and development in areas such as literacy, numeracy, Key Stage and/or subject specific.

Requirements:

  • Must have SEMH and ASD (Autism) Experience
  • Minimum one year School Setting experience
  • CACHE level 3 qualification
  • Safeguarding experience
