GSL Education Watford is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified English Teacher to join a welcoming department at a forward-thinking school in Slough. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the subject, effective communication skills,  and a genuine passion for teaching. This role is available immediately and offers potential for a permanent position for the right candidate.

The school provides students with an exceptional educational experience, prioritizing both academic achievement and overall well-being.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the United Kingdom, ensuring seamless integration into the school community.
  • Applicants should hold a recognized teaching qualification, such as a Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Arts in English, coupled with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS). For example, a candidate might have completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a PGCE in Secondary Education.
  • A valid Enhanced Child Barred List Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate registered with the online Update Service is necessary. Alternatively, candidates should be prepared to initiate a new application. This ensures the safety and protection of students at all times.

  • Display a genuine commitment to educating students and nurturing their academic and personal growth. Demonstrate a deep passion for the subject matter, instilling curiosity and enthusiasm in students through engaging lessons and activities.
