A rare opportunity exists for a Marine/Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading Yacht manufacturer. Our client, a renowned name in the industry, is seeking two individuals to join their team on a contract basis for a period of two months. This is the perfect opportunity for talented professionals with experience in AutoCAD, NX, and design engineering.
As a Marine/Mechanical Design Engineer, your main responsibility will be to create scale drawings and perform material work for various new special projects. You will be utilising your expertise in Siemens NX, AutoCAD, and design for manufacturing to develop innovative solutions and contribute to the success of the company.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Create exterior and interior component designs and generate production drawings and sub-assemblies for new and existing projects
  • Work on a range of projects, including exterior fittings, systems and machinery, and electrical systems and features
  • Collaborate with the design team and sales team to ensure the highest standards of quality and functionality are me
  • To be able to communicate all design information clearly to others involved in the design and production of the project.
  • To produce drawings that are suitable for production


Job Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant engineering design or Marine subject
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX 3-D design software or similar software.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP
  • Experience as a qualified Mechanical Engineer, Design Engineer, or Naval Architect
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
