Are you a passionate and committed advocate for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

NOW Education are seeking a SEN Teacher with Qualified Teacher status to join our dedicated team at a Special school in Morden . You will be responsible for the education and welfare of a designated class or groups of pupils with complex SEMH needs.

The school are dedicated in providing a nurturing and aspirational environment for children and young people aged 2-16 with complex learning difficulties.

Experience working with pupils with SEND, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) is desirable but not essential. What truly matters is your drive, creativity, and passion for teaching and learning as a SEN Teacher.

Key Responsibilities – SEND Teacher:

· SEND Teacher

· Support children with SLD, autism, and complex needs, providing individualized attention and care.

· Deliver a curriculum tailored to the specific needs of our students through our pathways approach.

· Collaborate with a team of skilled teaching assistants, to ensure each child receives the support they require.

· Assist students with personal care needs, showing a willingness to provide necessary support.

· Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, encouraging the social and emotional development of each child.

Requirements – SEND Teacher:

· Must have QTS

· Experience working with pupils with SEND, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) is desirable.

· A genuine passion for working with children and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a team.

· Familiarity with Makaton and previous experience of PECS would be advantageous.

· A willingness to assist with personal care requirements.
