Aylesbury is a beautiful town that houses a primary phase campus that provides education and care for young people between the ages of 5 and 11 years old.

The school aims to equip students with life skills so they can be independent and provide them with first-rate knowledge of the workplace and how to make a positive contribution to their community and society.

The school is looking for a passionate and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join their team and work towards this vision. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assess student progress and report back to teachers.
  • Support students with personal care needs, including toileting and feeding.
  • Assist with the preparation of classroom materials and resources.
  • Accompanied students on school trips and activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Liaise with parents, teachers, and other professionals involved in the care and support of SEND students.

  • Resilient and able to work under pressure.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about supporting the learning and development of SEND students.
  • Experience working with SEND students, preferably in a school setting.
