A lovely, community based primary school located in Barnet have approached us with regards to vacancies available in their school. They are currently looking for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join their school long-term in KS2 in two different roles. 

The school is a 15 minute walk away from the Northern Line and sits on the back of a beautiful park. It is described as a busy, friendly school, where there is always lots going on in their extensive and beautiful grounds. The school community is supportive, with parents and staff getting involved in all aspects of school life.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of learning and behavioural needs. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting students in the classroom to ensure their engagement and understanding.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural and social needs
  • Collaborating with teachers and the SEN department to create tailored learning plans.
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and a love for learning among students.

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A genuine passion for working with students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
  • A willingness to collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student progress.
  • Previous experience working in SEN or school settings
