Salary: £30,000 - £46,525

About the role

Vision for Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Truro who, due to school expansion, are seeking to recruit a Teacher of Science for a permanent vacancy.  We welcome applications from teachers with secondary education experience.

The main purpose of the role is to provide inspirational and outstanding teaching whilst nurturing a safe, secure, and caring educational environment.  The role will comprise of planning and teaching Science lessons across a Key Stages 3 & 4.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Planning and delivery of high-quality teaching & learning that follows the national curriculum
• Meet the pastoral needs of young people
• Form positive relationships with young people, parents/carers, and colleagues
• Show pro-active commitment to continuing personal professional development
• Meeting the individual educational needs of young people

Requirements include:

• Teaching qualification with QTS / QTLS
• The ability to engage and motivate young people
• Understanding multi agency working and collaboration with parents/carers
• A passion for making a difference to the lives and education of young people
