Housing Enforcement Officer - Northwest - 6 Months - Hybrid

A client of mine who I am working closely with is currently out to look for a Housing Enforcement Officer to join their ever-growing team.

Daily duties of the Housing Enforcement Officer consist of:

• Improving Housing Standards within the private sector properties
• Responding to service requests in regard to disrepair and poor housing conditions within the private rented properties
• Serving legal notices and preparing schedule of works when necessary
• Conducting inspections and identifying the nature and cause of defects and to recommend appropriate remedial measures

Essential requirements of the Housing Enforcement Officer:

• Experienced in undertaking housing inspections using HHSRS and identifying defects and determine effective remediation measures
• Previously prepared statutory notices and schedules of work
• Qualification in Environmental Health, HNC Construction or equivalent
• Certificate of competence in applying HHSRS
