Initial 12 Month Contract
Hybrid/Remote mostly….2 days per fortnight on site

Our client is a leading global defence, security, and aerospace company, and are seeking talented and driven Systems Verification Engineers to join their project teams working on submarine programmes. As a Systems Verification Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced systems for cutting-edge defence projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement test plans, procedures, and protocols for system verification activities.
  • Conduct thorough testing of submarine systems, including hardware, software, and integrated systems.
  • Analyse and interpret test data to assess system performance, identify areas for improvement, and troubleshoot any anomalies or failures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and integration specialists, to ensure seamless integration and verification of complex systems.
  • Generate comprehensive reports documenting test results, observations, and recommendations for system enhancements or modifications.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to system verification and validation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in system verification and validation, preferably in a complex engineering environment.
  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Familiarity with submarine systems, such as propulsion, navigation, communication, or weapon systems, is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in analysing and interpreting test data using statistical techniques and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of safety and security regulations related to defence industry products.

Due to the nature of this role you will need to have excellent team skills, be self-motivated, fast-learning and have the ability to prioritise and manage your own work with minimal guidance.
