Location: Preston

Pay: £350 - 400/day

Duration: 6 months


Our industry leading tier-1 client is looking for a Senior Site Engineers from an environmental/ earthworks background to work on their local authority framework. They cover projects including but not limited to flood defence schemes, rail, highways and public realms works

If you are looking for your next move in the civil and environmenatl sector, and have experience in management of subcontractors, design, and site-based delivery, this opportunity is for you.

Duties for Senior Site Engineer:

  • Work across multiple projects or one large scheme on the delivery of environmental and non-infra works
  • Reporting into the Site Agent
  • Management of specialist subcontractors
  • Ensure that senior management teams are kept up to date with progress
  • Writing and reviewing RAMS
  • Assist in ensuring a quality service is provided to the client
  • Being involved in technical planning and programming the projects
  • Ensure the project is running on time and budget
  • Ensure health & safety is adhered to
  • Be responsible for site inspections and progress reports
  • Some aspects of setting out may be required
     

Qualifications and experience:

  • IOSH, SSSTS or NEBOSH general certificate would be an advantage
  • Microsoft Office literate
  • Experience working in the environmental or earthworks industry is essential
  • CSCS Card
  • Appropriate hnc, degree or engineering qualification
