SEN Teaching Assistant

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN), providing individualised assistance to help them reach their full potential. This position located near Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our students and contribute to their overall success.

SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support and assistance to students with SEN, including those with autism, dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning disabilities.
• Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for SEN students.
• Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
• Assist with the implementation of differentiated learning activities to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
• Monitor student progress and behaviour and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and classroom teacher.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of SEN students.

SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Previous experience working with SEN students is preferred.
• Strong communication skills essential for interacting with school staff, parents, and caregivers.
• Possession of certificates in supporting teaching and learning is advantageous.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 08:30 to 15:30.
• Ability to commute to Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.
• MUST have the right to work full time.
