This is a 12 months+ contract role, based at our client’s offices just outside Norwich, though the role could be carried out on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity.
- Identify and propose solutions to problems in existing products or processes.
- Ensure technical accuracy by reviewing the engineering team's work.
- Establish engineering strategies to meet business objectives.
- Foster strong communication between teams to facilitate exchange of information and implement improvements.
Additional Duties:
- Review technical and commercial aspects of project specifications.
- Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and internal departments on technical matters.
- Design mechanical schematic diagrams according to company standards.
- Generate all necessary documentation for projects at every stage.
- Ensure certification and quality requirements are met for each project.
- Write specifications for procured materials and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
- Participate in project Design Reviews with Project Engineers and Engineering Manager.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven track record in providing project documentation and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent numeracy skills and interpersonal communication.
- Minimum HNC or equivalent in Control, Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in the O&G industry, specifically with hydraulic control systems.
