Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Solve technical problems of the highest scope, complexity, and ambiguity.
  • Identify and propose solutions to problems in existing products or processes.
  • Ensure technical accuracy by reviewing the engineering team's work.
  • Establish engineering strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Foster strong communication between teams to facilitate exchange of information and implement improvements.
 
Additional Duties:
 
  • Review technical and commercial aspects of project specifications.
  • Liaise with clients, sub-contractors, and internal departments on technical matters.
  • Design mechanical schematic diagrams according to company standards.
  • Generate all necessary documentation for projects at every stage.
  • Ensure certification and quality requirements are met for each project.
  • Write specifications for procured materials and raise purchase requisitions as needed.
  • Participate in project Design Reviews with Project Engineers and Engineering Manager.
 
Qualifications and Requirements:
 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record in providing project documentation and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and interpersonal communication.
  • Minimum HNC or equivalent in Control, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience in the O&G industry, specifically with hydraulic control systems.
 
This is a 12 months+ contract role, based at our client’s offices just outside Norwich, though the role could be carried out on a hybrid basis.
