Logistics Coordinator

Cantello Tayler Recruitment are recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator to join their client based in Guildford for a 9-month contract to cover maternity leave.

Logistics Coordinator duties and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the sending of kits and collection of samples globally
  • Prepare paperwork including shipping documentation, commercial invoices, and import / export documentation.
  • Ensure all permits and licences are in place for the shipments arranged in collaboration with the Logistics Manager
  • Uploading of data to our ERP system
  • Book all shipments using the most cost and time effective method at the time
  • Work with the operations and logistics team in all aspects of the business operations which may include supply chain, purchasing, goods in and goods out
  • Monitor and advise on packaging and shipping requirements
  • Monitoring and actioning tasks through email and task planners
  • Monitor the customer support desk for incoming logistics requests
  • Communicate effectively with the Sales and Client Services team on progress
  • Support customers to ensure precise and timely shipping arrangements to shipments and collections
  • Preparing data and reports for management meetings
  • Work closely with the Head of Operations to ensure KPIs on delivery and collection are achieved
  • Participate in weekly internal team meetings and wider company meetings as required

Logistics Coordinator required skills and experience:

  • Minimum HND / BTEC in a business subject
  • A detailed knowledge of import / export processes, customs processes and raising clearance documentation
  • Proven track record in a logistics role with customer facing experience
  • Working experience with MS Office
  • Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work to deadlines
  • Organised & meticulous
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • A natural ability to multi-task and problem solve
  • A consummate communicator, both written and verbal, you are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • An outstanding team player who is able to work effectively even when things get busy and remain calm under pressure
  • Very organised with excellent attention to detail.
