If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you!Our secondary schools in Chelmsford are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated English teacher to join their team in September.
As a Secondary English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring lessons to students aged 11-16, helping them to develop their literacy skills and a love for the subject.Key
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all students
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and support
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
- Contribute to the wider school community through participation in extracurricular activities and events
Essential Criteria:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the English curriculum at Key Stages 3 and 4
- Experience of teaching English at secondary level
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience of teaching English at Key Stage 5
- A relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in English
- Experience of leading or contributing to curriculum development
