Our client, an established, globally regarded aerospace component and systems manufacturer - a subsidiary of the world’s largest operator in their sector is seeking to recruit an efficient and organised individual to join their team as an Administrator supporting the Import/Export Dept

This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel is vital for this role, so please do not apply unless you have confident Excel skills.

The role will support with:

  1. Coordinating all aspects of shipping operations, including documentation, scheduling, and tracking of shipments within the UK and for export.
  2. Preparinge and reviewing shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  3. Liaising with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to arrange transportation and ensure smooth delivery of goods to customers.
  4. Monitoring shipment status and providing timely updates to internal stakeholders and customers, resolving any issues or delays that may arise.
  5. Maintaining accurate records of shipping activities, including shipment volumes, costs, and delivery dates, using appropriate software systems.
  6. Collaborating with the sales and procurement teams to forecast shipping needs and optimise logistics processes.
  7. Providing support to colleagues on shipping-related matters

Qualifications:

  1. Proven administraive experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  2. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  4. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  5. Problem-solving mind-set and the ability to think critically under pressure
  6. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work outside regular business hours when necessary

Please note that this is a 3-month contract position.
