We are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to provide essential support to our SEN students in their learning journey.

Experience: Experience with SEN students preferred

About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the continued progress and well-being of our SEN students. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in various subjects, adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborating with teachers and support staff to implement Healthcare Plans and accommodate individual learning needs.
  • Managing behaviour effectively and promoting positive interactions among students.

Requirements for Cover Supervisor Role:

To excel in this role, you should possess:

A passion for working with SEN students and a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives.

Experience or training in supporting individuals with SEN, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other learning differences.

️ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning styles.

Education Background:

  • A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is often preferred. However, some institutions may accept candidates with relevant experience in lieu of formal education.
  • Additional qualifications or certifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) education are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school setting, particularly with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), is advantageous.
  • Experience in classroom management, behaviour management, or teaching assistant roles can be beneficial.
