We are seeking a talented Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and make a difference in the lives of our students.

About the Role: As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA), you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with planning, delivering, and evaluating learning activities under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students who require additional assistance or enrichment activities.
  • Leading and supervising classroom activities in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Supporting the implementation of Healthcare Education Plans and personalised learning strategies for students with diverse needs, including SEN, EAL, and gifted and talented students.
  • Collaborating with teachers to assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning goals.
  • Engaging with parents/carers and other stakeholders to communicate student progress and promote positive relationships within the school community.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A relevant qualification in Education or Teaching Assistant Training, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role within a school setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of educational principles and practices, including differentiated instruction and assessment for learning.
