Hiring a Cost Controller for our client, a leading global mining company, to be based at Wilton or Scarborough for a full time 12-month temporary role.
  
With a relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), you will have proven experience as a Project Cost Controller or Cost Engineer working on multi-discipline mining or construction projects; with relevant reporting, cost/engineering controls and management systems proficiency.  
  
Appropriate project management skills for a Cost Controller are necessary, with management qualifications an advantage.
  
Working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, on either site (with occasional travel to the other required), you will be:
  
  • Managing the full life cycle of project budgets and reporting costs, progress, trends and variations; assessing the value of completed work monthly using the cost management system
  • Supporting the project controls team and budget owners with forecasts and annual budget preparation
  • Auditing and verifying cost categories within POs, budgets and contracts
  • Implementing cost control initiatives to improve efficiency and processes
  • Managing budget allocations and associated documentation
  • Providing cost feedback to senior members via dashboards/reports
  • Maintaining commercial awareness for each project
