Position: Electrical/Instrumentation Compliance Technician

Job Description: Are you passionate about advancing your career in electrical and instrumentation compliance? KB Engineering is seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as an Electrical/Instrumentation Compliance Technician. This role offers extensive training and development opportunities, providing a pathway for career progression within our organisation.

This position would be suitable for someone newly qualified looking to advance their career working with experienced skilled engineers in an excellent environment.

Similarly, this position could also suit an experienced skilled Electrical/Instrumentation Compliance Technician looking for part time hours.

Job Description: Working knowledge of Instrumentation calibration and testing.

The ability to work within a team environment while adhering to a strict Health and Safety policy the successful candidate will receive full training to work towards maintaining site compliance of the following:

1. Complete all scheduled Process Safety Testing on Safety Instrumented Systems as per IEC 61508, IEC 61511

• Critical A and B Instrumentation Calibrations and tests (Flow, Pressure, Temperature, level)

• PRV Testing as per ASI 527

• PVRV Inspection as per ASI 527

• PR Inspection as per ASI 527

2. Compliance to ISO 13849 – Safety of Machinery:

• Perform Machinery Safety device testing (Doors, Guards, Hatches, E-Stops, Limit Switches, Earthing Systems light barriers etc)

This is a dayshift role 37.5hrs per week Monday to Friday for full time, 27 days paid holidays plus Bank Holidays, pension scheme.

Salary will be discussed at interview stage.

Qualifications:

• HNC in an Engineering discipline

• Completion of Engineering apprenticeship

• Must have a positive attitude towards promoting a Health and Safety culture.

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
