Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - Keighley, Bradford

A Bradford school are currently seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a long term basis. The role will require you to support pupils and their development in learning. You would be expected to work alongside the Teacher setting up the classroom and setting good behaviour standards. It will also be a requirement to deliver 1-1 lessons and lead some intervention groups across all year groups and support during PPA time.

Work days (Term time only)

Monday to Friday - Full time position - 8:30am till 3:30pm

Monday to Wednesday - Part time position - 8:30am till 3:30pm

Pay: £100-£120 dependant on experience

Requirements:

  • Support students during lessons setting good behaviour standards
  • Experience working with all Primary year groups (KS1 & KS2)
  • Experience in leading interventions
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills
  • Ability to lead planned lessons set by the Teacher
  • Encourange/Motivate pupils to reach their full potential

Other requirements to be eligible for this position:

  • Hold a HLTA qualification or a Level 4 NVQ
  • Enhanced DBS, Overseas Police Check if applicable
  • Legal right to work in the UK
  • 10 years of Employment/Education history
  • 2 professional child related references

Should you be successful a consultant will be in contact to go through the next steps. There is a requirement that you will need to go through a registration process, pass the Academics vetting checks and complete the safeguarding sent as you will be responsible for the safeguarding of each child in your care. Academics will then also offer free CPD and Team Teach should this be required as part of your role.
