Salary/Rate:
£20 - £25/hour

Shift Pattern – Day shift, early finish Friday

Main Tasks:

  • Build panels and wire machines following electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Ensure assembly work meets the required quality standards within the allocated time frame.
  • Test, diagnose faults, and operate final subassemblies and machines.
  • Install equipment at customer premises, compile snagging lists, and facilitate handovers.
  • Complete all necessary quality-related documentation promptly and accurately.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret electrical assembly drawings and verify parts against the Bill of Materials (BOM) before initiating assembly.
  • Assemble electrical panels and wire machines, either at workbenches or directly on machine structures.
  • Perform installation and testing of electrical and pneumatic control systems.
  • Thoroughly test all panel and machine wiring to ensure the quality of completed work.
  • Fit and test process equipment on the machine, such as sensors.
  • Communicate any build or operational problems or concerns to the appropriate senior engineer.
  • Undertake on-site work to install equipment, conduct testing, and ensure proper operation.
  • Ensure all rework is accurately documented in the rework ticket system.
  • Perform general assembly tasks, such as assembling conduit or Uni-strut, drilling, and manufacturing brackets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace in accordance with company housekeeping standards.
  • Execute additional duties as required to complete project assembly, operation, and handover to customers.
