Secondary Tutor based in Hayes, West London
Remedy Education are looking for a Secondary Tutor to work 1:1 with a student with SEN, you will be teaching the students core subjects.
The young student has ASD, challenging behaviour and needs special support throughout the day.
SEN experience needed: You will work privately or through the local authorities on a 1: 1 basis to make a difference to children with SEN including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other additional needs.
To be a SEN Tutor Primary you will need:
- QTS;
- at least 8 years' experience teaching and assessing English and / or Maths and / or Science in primary and / or secondary schools;
- at least 8 years' experience working with SEN special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, ADD, PDA, dysgraphia, and global developmental delay;
- a proven record of being able to heighten pupil's confidence, self-esteem and love of learning;
- 100% passion for education, commitment, reliability and honesty;
- to creatively apply differentiated techniques to planning and teaching;
- excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills;
- incredible patience;
- an excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to use these;
- the ability to deal with possible behaviour issues;
- the ability to work flexibly and attend meetings outside hours if necessary;
- to be a team-worker;
- a Enhanced DBS on the update service;
- a willingness to apply for public liability and professional indemnity insurance;
- register to work as self-employed.
