Supply Desk is proud to be collaborating with a nurturing, friendly and inclusive school in the heart of the Borehamwood community. We are currently hiring for a Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant on a full-time basis.

THE ROLE

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on students' lives? We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team, focusing on providing exceptional support for students with learning difficulties. There are a variety of students who require additional support, some conditions include but are not limited to:

-          Non-Verbal / Speech Delay

-          Visual Impairment

-          Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)

-          Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

The role includes but is not limited to:

-          Be the driving force behind individualized support, tailoring your approach to meet the unique needs of students facing behavioural challenges.

-          Showcase your expertise in behavioural intervention, turning challenges into opportunities for growth by implementing effective strategies and reinforcing positive behaviours.

-          Become a mentor and friend as you build positive and trusting relationships with students. Create a safe and nurturing space where they can thrive.

-          Communication is key! Collaborate seamlessly with teachers, parents, and fellow professionals to ensure a holistic support system for each student.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

-          Bring a compassionate approach, understanding the unique challenges students face, and demonstrating unwavering patience.

-          Possess strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with teachers, parents, and professionals for holistic student support.

-          Anticipate challenges, identify triggers, and proactively implement strategies for a positive learning atmosphere.

-          Previous experience with SEN/Behavioural difficulty students is preferred but not essential as long as you have a strong passion to work SEN students.
