Smart Education, a leading educational institution based in Birmingham, is currently seeking a passionate teacher to join a dynamic team. The school specialises in providing education for pupils aged 2 to 19 with a diverse range of special educational needs and disabilities, including PMLD, cognition and learning needs, and autism.

The successful candidate will lead a class of 9 pupils, predominantly at the P16 level, who face behavioural challenges. This role will be supported by a dedicated team of 4 Teaching Assistants. We encourage applications from individuals with backgrounds in EYFS, primary, secondary, or post-16 education.

This position involves working with P16 pupils who experience persistent challenges in social interaction, communication, and emotional understanding. Successful candidates will provide consistent support across various areas, including engagement, learning, emotional regulation, sensory needs, and behaviour management.

Applicants must have a minimum of 6 months' experience working in a UK school, with extensive experience in special educational needs. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching independent living skills and classes such as cookery.
