Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)

We are seeking a passionate SENCO to join our dynamic team at our SEN School supporting students from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4. This role offers the chance to work up to 5 days per week, providing invaluable support to our students in their educational journey.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the provision of Special Educational Needs (SEN) support across Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 4.
  • Develop and implement individualised education plans tailored to each student's needs.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure effective support strategies are in place.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN, making adjustments as necessary to optimise learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with SEN policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified teacher status and SENCO qualification.
  • Proven experience working with students with diverse needs in an educational setting.
  • Strong understanding of SEN policies and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to create and implement effective strategies to support student progress.
