The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Geography Teacher in an inner city school in the UK. It is essential for the appointed Geography Teacher to have a sound understanding of the national curriculum.
As a Geography Teacher at this school, you will be expected to have strong behaviour management skills and be confident in using positive techniques to keep pupils in lessons for as long as possible. The school based in South Leeds has the ambition to become "Outstanding" before September 2026 and are looking for like-minded people to join them on their journey to achieving their goal. As a Geography Teacher at this school you will have the ability to effectively test pupils' knowledge and implement an assessment system that encourages pupils to retain information.
Geography Teacher Requirements:
- PGCE with QTS in Geography or equivalent
- The ability to teach Geography to GCSE level
- Confidence in using positive reinforcement in the classroom
