Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in Oxfordshire in their search for a Principal Planning Policy Officer to join their Town Planning department. This will be offered on an initial 3-month contract, then rolling.
 
We are looking for an experienced Planning Consultant to come in and hit the ground running and support the council local plan at regulation 19 stage. You will need the skills, drive and commitment to lead, review and prepare our plans and policies and deal with a complex and varied planning policy workload. The candidate will need to be pro-active, and delivery focused, innovative and highly adept in group working and problem solving. Experience in 5-year land supply, employment or delivery would be an advantage. You will be expected to lead on a number of development documents, policies & proposals, community engagement, consultation documents, sustainability appraisals, and other various tasks.
 
Our client are offering hybrid working arrangements. It would be beneficial to hold a RTPI accredited Planning Degree or equivalent Planning qualification and/or have experience in a similar position.
