The Organisation:

A responsible and progressive charity, aiming to provide social justice and support to vulnerable groups of people across the UK; victims of domestic violence, ex-offenders, young people, people with mental health difficulties and those struggling with substance misuse. They are a well-established organisation with a positive market reputation and over 20 years of experience in supported living.

This company are currently operating supported housing services for rehabilitating ex-offenders that have left a prison setting. The service ensures the instilling of independent living skills, positive wellbeing and personal development within ex-offenders, working towards their bettering of life and prevention of repeat offending.



The Opportunities:
  • Housing Management Workers will be working full-time; 35 hours per week, typically between Monday and Friday however there may be flexibility on this.
  • Competitive pay rates; Housing Management Workers are paid £17.21 (Umbrella), per hour. You will also be paid £0.45 per mile for travel between services. 
  • Contract length will be 3-6-months before prospective extension and/or permanence.
  • You will be based across multiple projects across South Yorkshire, Rotherham, Sheffield and Barnsley.
  • Administration work can be completed in a flexible location, with state-of-the-art IT equipment provided for all work.


The Responsibilities:
  • Void management
  • Pre void checks
  • Raise any maintenance to helpdesk or LL
  • Liaise with maintenance helpdesk, landlords/letting agents and repair contractors to ensure that maintenance is completed in line with timescales. 
  • Update Housing Benefit and Council Tax of end of claim (RH)
  • Interview and initial safety plan for incoming SU.
  • Arrange move in date and prepare move in documents (RH)
  • Tenancy management. Sign up including HB application.
  • Responding to any issues relating to the Tenancy (ASB – liaising with external agencies) (RH)
  • Regularly review accommodation plan (RH)
  • Move on planning from start of tenancy (RH)
  • Arrears management . Monitor rent account weekly.
  • Property management / compliance
  • Continuously assessing risk and updating Safety plans and Accommodation plans in accordance with service policy. Raising any concerns with other agencies involved and Service Lead (DSO) (RH)
  • Reporting any incidents that occur and following up with any actions in action plan (RH)


The Desirables:
  • Relevant training to housing or health and social care.
  • Over 3 years’ experience within a relevant position i.e.,Housing Management.
  • Understanding of housing law and framework relevant to those with complex needs.
