Randstad Enterprise, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of a well known business that specialises in Smart Infrastructure.

Job Purpose

You will play a crucial role in the company's plans to prepare and coordinate technical projects according to the Project Management (PM) standards defined, throughout all stages of the Q-gate process. Typical projects include the design and build of new site installations, refurbishments and asset refresh solutions. Technologies will include complex integrated Security systems (CCTV, Perimeter protection, access control intruder protection) Fire detection systems, building management systems, associated cabling equipment and integration with others.

The role and responsibilities

  • Support sales with tender returns inputs such as programmes, pricing and questions responses.

  • Plan and execute projects in accordance with the Client specification, agreed contract, Programme schedule, company’s project management methodology and quality procedures.

  • Manage controllable costs and cash flow, cost to completion forecasts to maximise profitability and control working capital.

  • Provide accurate resource forecasts and early visibility of potential risks and delays to the programme by third parties, suppliers and subcontractors.

  • Support the project team in achieving compliance with the Clients requirements and meeting the operational and business objectives of the project.

  • Produce project plans and deliverable schedules.

  • Maintain project risk registers and implement mitigating actions.

  • Maintain a schedule to monitor progress and change based on key dates and KPI's.

  • Carry out regular financial reviews and update the relevant systems to reflect project health.

  • Implement the monthly application and follow up process to ensure on time payment of invoices and enhanced cash flow.

  • Carry out review meetings with the team and track outputs and actions utilising the project action register documents.

  • Produce a monthly project overview report for review by the Senior Management to include: procurement and performance of subcontractors, health and safety, compliance and quality assurance. 

To be considered, here are skills and experience that you need to have:

  • Experience of managing large multi disciplined, integrated projects from customer enquiry through to handover.

  • Proven ability to control projects as a P&L, manage change, identify and mitigate risk and opportunities.

  • Proven ability to interpret specifications and contract requirements and deliver fully compliant solutions and execution plans.

  • Experience in the leadership and implementation of HS&E requirements to company policy and current legislation.

  • Experience of working within operations teams, able to plan works and communicate well with the team, suppliers and customers. 

  • Project Management qualification/certification (APM/IPMA)

  • Experience of working with NEC suite of contracts would be a plus.

  • Experience of working in a regulated industry such as electricity, gas, rail, nuclear etc.

  • Interview stage would be with 2 managers, virtual interview

  • Project will last up to 2,5 years but the this role will potentially last for about a year

  • Working along with 3-4 people in the team

  • Working hours is flexible usually  09.00-17.30
