E&P Construction Engineer

Location: Central Manchester

Contract: 6 Months initial

We are looking for a E&P Supervisor to join their successful Enhancement Team based in and around the Northumberland area.

Within this highly versatile role, every day will be different, and will entail responsibility for ensuring the effective implementation of health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements across all project works.

You will work closely with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to contribute to plan development and oversee day-to-day operations to minimize snagging and ensure optimal resource utilization.

Experience

  • Strong E&P Engineering experience within a Rail or Infrastructure Engineering environment.  
  • An excellent and detailed understanding of M&E/E&P installations
  • Hold thorough knowledge of LV experience - 650v, points heating, DNO's, signalling power, Junction Lighting

Key Accountabilities and objectives

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager and Project Engineer to contribute to plan development and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Organize suppliers and subcontractors to integrate efficiently into the project plan and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Compliance Oversight: Oversee site compliance and construction processes, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate all risks associated with project activities, including those related to working within the railway environment.
  • Documentation: Create work package plans, task briefing sheets, and manage documentation through to acceptance.
  • Test Result Management: Manage and compile BS7671 and other standard test results to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Procedural Creation: Create Installation Test Plans (ITPs) including safe switching, isolation, and re-energization procedures, and manage them through to acceptance.
