Prospero Teaching is looking for a Science Teacher to join a Ofsted Good, mixed secondary school located in Barnet which is an Outer London school. The Science teaching role starts in September 2024.

The Headteacher welcomes ECTS to apply to this Science teaching post, as an ECT you will be joining an award-winning Science department within this high-achieving, 11 - 18 comprehensive school and will be teaching a KS3 - KS5 timetable. You will be joining a National SCITT training hub for STEM and will be supported by an exceptional ECT programme in-house CPD opportunities and much more.

THE SCIENCE TEACHING JOB:

  • Full-time Science teaching role
  • Teaching Key stage 3 and Key stage 4 and possibly key stage 5
  • Science is taught following AQA
  • This is a mainstream, Ofsted Outstanding secondary school
  • State of the art facilities
  • Solid, well resourced, Science department
  • Full time (5 days a week) teaching position including planning and marking.
  • Parking is available on-site and the school is well-served by public transport

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL SCIENCE TEACHER WILL BE

  • Ideally hold a teaching qualification (QTSor QTLS preferred) or equivalent
  • A team player, able to lead and inspire colleagues and pupils alike.
  • Someone who can manage students of different abilities and differentiate lessons in line with the needs of the students
  • You will be proactive and innovative with the ability to engage students in different ways.

SCIENCE TEACHER CONTRACT:

Location - Barnet

Position - Science teacher

Type of work -SCIENCE teaching in a secondary school

Start date - September 2024

Contract type - temporary to become permanent after 12 weeks

Full time - Full time 5 days

Minimum rate of pay - MPS - UPS
