About the role

In your role as Enterprise Portfolio Management Office Analyst you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset.

​This role will provide a great opportunity to be responsible for supporting the business change function in delivery, including portfolio planning, control, reporting and analysis, as well as supporting the Enterprise PMO Manager in the delivery of PMO initiatives, including the review and update of processes, standards, and tools to meet the demands of the business.

What you will be doing

  • Managing PMO administrative activities such as project registration across various Portfolio’s
  • Maintaining and actively manage PMO governance control documentation to ensure information is current, relevant, and cohesive for pipeline, active and closed projects from various information sources (such as Business Cases, Status Reports, RAID logs, etc.)
  • Supporting the transition away from manual data entry and processing to improve efficiency and contribute to the continuous improvement of the ePMO function
  • Providing timely support to the portfolio, programme, and project managers when required by managing the PMO team mailbox
  • Supporting colleagues by guiding them through the project lifecycle and support the adherence of projects to the USS Change Model effectively
  • Complete additional PMO administrative tasks in a timely manner as the project/programmes require
  • Proactively engaging with Project Managers to help identify support needs and to strengthen relationships with the wider business change team periodically
  • Preparing Management Information (MI) packs for executive audiences to a high standard, which are used in various Governance meetings
  • Preparing Management Information in a timely manner, allowing time for analysis and executive review.
  • Scheduling and organising meetings, take actions and follow up on actions, as appropriate

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Demonstrable administrative experience in a demanding project environment
  • Demonstrable knowledgeable of project management frameworks, PMO policies, processes and procedures and the value and benefits of a PMO function
  • Excellent written and spoken English and presentational skills
  • Good interpersonal, communication and relationship building skills
  • Competency within the Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), including Microsoft Project/Project for the Web
  • Well organised, strong attention to detail with the drive to enforce standards across the team
