Job Title: Communications Advisor

Duration: 6 months, extensions likely (possibility of going perm in the future)

Location: Warwick/Hybrid (once per week requirement in the office)

Salary: circa £52000 per annum

We are currently seeking an experienced Communications Advisor to join a well-established organisation in the utilities industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the organisation's internal communications initiatives.

Role Purpose:

As the Communications Advisor, the individual will be responsible for developing and delivering outcome-focused communications plans. They will need to have strong business partner experience, exceptional writing skills, and a solid track record of stakeholder engagement and project management. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within our client's team is essential.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have a strong digital literacy, with practical experience in using and developing systems such as Share-point, Populo, and Content Management Systems. Proficiency in editing and creating short videos would be advantageous.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Proactively engaging and supporting key stakeholders and projects, aligning communication plans with our client's wider business goals.
  • Creating high-quality communication and engagement materials for various local channels, including short videos, visually engaging PowerPoint decks, and written communications for Share-point and newsletters.
  • Assisting in the delivery of virtual and in-person events, from logistics to interactive content development.
  • Coaching team managers and leaders on effective communication techniques and promoting a listening/two-way approach.
  • Applying audience segmentation principles to our client's various audience groups, with a specific focus on field colleagues.
  • Engaging proactively with the business to identify stories and proof points that support the overall narrative of the organisation.


About You:

The ideal candidate for this role has a background in regulatory communication, agility, excellent organisational skills, and a strong ability to manage stakeholders effectively. They should also be comfortable working with technical aspects and be confident in using data to drive communication strategies.
