Role Overview:

As the Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the construction of the new build apartment block, ensuring that all engineering aspects of the project are executed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and precision. Working closely with the project team, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you will help bring our vision to life and create a landmark development in Reading.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site surveys and assessments to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulations.
  • Assist in the setting out of the building footprint, structural elements, and utilities to ensure accurate positioning and alignment.
  • Monitor and inspect construction activities to ensure that work is being carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to resolve technical issues and optimize construction processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and as-built drawings.
  • Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on construction projects, preferably with experience in new build residential developments.
  • Strong technical skills, with knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and building regulations.
  • Proficiency in using surveying instruments and software for setting out and site measurements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid CSCS card and relevant certifications.

The project site is located in Reading, offering easy access to the city center and excellent transport links.
