Our client, one of the largest companies in the cruise service sector, is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their finance team.
The Role of End-to-end Purchase Ledger responsibilities in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, with direct support from the Management Team. The role comes with responsibility and a degree of autonomy and is often dynamic. This position will be key in getting our suppliers paid correctly and promptly.
What the Role covers:
- Managing incoming supplier invoices.
- Matching invoices to bookings.
- Applying the correct coding to the invoice.
- Processing invoices on the accounting software.
- Supplier payments.
- Raising queries and dealing with queries from suppliers.
The Person Someone who will cope well in a busy and fluid environment, and who can maintain a high level of accuracy, even when workload is high. The right candidate will have good interpersonal skills, and the ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and suppliers. Given the short nature of this position it’s important that the successful applicant can hit the ground running or be able to get up to speed quickly.
We’d like the Person to have:
- Strong numeracy skills
- Experience of MS Excel and Outlook
- An understanding of basic accounting principles
- A high level of attention to detail
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and fluid environment.
